Parent-Teacher Association
The Parent-Teacher Association is the largest and most effective volunteer association working to improve the lives, health, and safety of our nation's children. This organization provides an important link between the school and the community. Additionally, the PTA supports the teachers and school programs providing volunteer and monetary resources.

Scholarship Winners |
The Green Run Elementary PTA offers two $500 scholarships
for high school seniors who are planning on attending a college, university, or vocational training school. To be eligible, graduating seniors need to have attended Green Run Elementary School.

Congratulations to Gayle Montgomery, recipient of the
2006 - 2007 Green Run Elementary PTA Distinguished Educator Award. This award was established to give the PTA an opportunity to recognize outstanding individuals or organizations whose contributions to the welfare and education of chldren have clearly made an impact. Gayle's family surprised her and came to help celebrate her
very well deserved award.

PTA Volunteers In Education

Our volunteers give selflessly of their time and talents each day. Volunteers assist our school in a variety of ways, from serving as tutors and mentors to students to providing curriculum resources. Each month, the Green Run Elementary PTA recognizes one of these volunteers that had given generously to our school, without seeking recognition. They volunteer because of a genuine desire to enrich the lives of students. Their accomplishments are outstanding, and this recognition is an opportunity to thank them for their service.

 Farm Fresh Receipts, Food Lion MVP cards, BoxTops for Education,Campbell's Soup Labels, Tyson Project A+
In our school foyer, we have a collection box for Farm Fresh receipts, General Mills Box Tops for Education, Campbell's Soup Labels, and Tyson A+ for Education. Please check out the websites for each of these great programs for more information. Please do take note that the Campbell's Labels for Education program is accepting the UPCs with logos instead of front labels this year.
Save your Farm Fresh receipts, BoxTops, Campbell Soup UPC's and Tyson Project A+ labels and send them in often! All of these programs directly support the children of our school. Don't forget to ask friends and relatives to clip these items as well. If you're a Food Lion shopper, be sure to link your MVP card and designate Green Run Elementary as your participating school so that a percentage of your purchases
will come back to our school.
